Pennsylvania Online Casinos Reach All-Time High: $148 Million!
Online casinos in the state of Pennsylvania recorded revenue of $148.2 million for March 2023 - the highest such figure ever recorded in the Keystone State.

March’s online casino revenue rose 10.1% when compared to the previous record, which was the £134.6 million set in December 2022.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National was Pennsylvania’s top operator in March, recording revenue of $62.3 million.
Gambling Revenue Tops Half a Billion
Overall gaming revenue for March amounted to $515.3 million - the first time the figure surpassed $500 million in the state’s history and a year-on-year increase of 11.4%.
This figure encapsulates casinos, iGaming, sports betting, fantasy contests, and video gaming terminals (VGTs).
From the overall total, $311.3 million came from slots and table games at casinos. A further $50.6 million came from sports betting, $3.8 million from VGTs, and $1.4 million from fantasy contests.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National was also the best-performing land-based casino, generating $80.9 million in revenue.
Valley Forge Casino Resort was next with $68.5 million, followed by Parx Casino’s total of $60.4 million. Rivers Casino Philadelphia ($53.4 million) and Wind Creek Bethlehem ($47.2 million) completed the top five.
March Madness Helps Sports Betting
Regarding sports betting, sportsbooks took $723.5 million worth of bets during March (up 21.2% from February), coinciding with the March Madness basketball tournament, which ran throughout the month.
Valley Forge Casino Resort (FanDuel) took the most money with $280.7 million in handle. Hollywood Casino at The Meadows (DraftKings) followed with handle of $187.9 million handle, with Hollywood Casino Morgantown (BetMGM) rounding out the top three with $56.4 million handle.
