In truth, little has changed from the original game here. The Vegas backdrop is now dusted in snow, candy canes and stars adorn the reels, and a bell-laden Christmas tune provides the soundtrack but, other than that, the gameplay remains essentially the same.

First things first, this is little more than a re-skin of the original Mystery Fox title. However, that needn’t count as a negative; slots fans who liked the first game, are almost certainly going to like this one – just don’t come in expecting anything radically different.

As fans of the Wild delights of Mystery Fox, we couldn’t help but enjoy this fox-themed Christmas Party. Light and airy, the base game ticks along at a great clip – being greatly enhanced by the constant presence of the Star Meter feature. Throw in the semi-customisable bonus rounds and, in our opinion, Mr Fox and co have pulled off a Christmas Cracker of a slot game.

The game takes place on a 5x4 grid with 60 paylines – a layout no doubt familiar to slot machines players.
