Cascading Reels
The cascade feature triggers upon getting a win, prompting the removal of the winning symbols from the reels. New symbols cascade down from above to potentially form more wins. This cycle repeats as long as new winning combinations emerge.
Bottom Row Spin
During a cascade involving the bottom row, it spins independently from right to left, with new symbols entering from the right.
Wild Symbol
The Wild symbol, which is a Shark, appears only on the bottom row of reels from reels two to five. It substitutes for all other symbols except for the Scatter symbol.
In the base game, when a Wild Shark lands in view, it may carry a random multiplier ranging from 2x to 25x, applied to all its associated wins. During free spins, the Wild Shark's multiplier increases from 2x to 100x, contributing to a total multiplier shown on the left side of the reels.
Mystery Symbol

To activate the bonus rounds, you need to get 4 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. Before starting the bonus game, you offered a choice between The Deep Free Spins or Even Deeper Free Spins.
The Deep Free Spins
Depending on the number of Scatter Symbols landed (between four and seven), a gamble feature starts with 10, 12, 14, or 16 Free Spins, respectively. You will get to spin a wheel, and if it lands on red, you lose, and if it lands on green, you win the gamble.
Throughout this feature, a Total Multiplier is displayed on the left side of the reels, incrementing by 1x with each tumble. The Wild Shark on the bottom row can hold multiplier values of 2x to 100x. Whenever a Scatter symbol lands on top of a wild shark, it locks in place for 1, 2 or 3 additional tumbles, along with giving random multipliers.
Even Deeper Free Spins
Depending on the number of Scatter Symbols landed, the Gamble Feature begins with a guaranteed multiplier:
- Four Scatters = 15x
- Five Scatters = 20x
- Six Scatters = 25x
- Seven Scatters = 30x
The feature then proceeds like the Deep Free Spins feature.
Our Verdict I initially thought the bonus features were a bit confusing regarding the gamble options to get more spins. However, once I got the hang of it, I found it thoroughly enjoyable and we felt that we had a certain amount of control over the game. I know it’s a game of chance of course, but it was good to be able to choose the spins and the gamble feature.

Graphics
The graphics were typical that you would expect to find under the sea, but we felt they were very wishy-washy and not very vibrant. Perhaps this was the look the developer was going for, but I didn’t find it very captivating. There were coral formations and weathered shipwrecks in keeping with the undersea theme but the most exciting character was the multiplier shark which looked menacing.
Audio
I found the audio very boring with not much thought put into it at all. The only sounds you hear are of the reels spinning. No sounds of the ocean or anything you would expect with an underwater theme. A little jingle is played when there is a win, but that is pretty much it.
Our Verdict Beware the Deep is not one of Pragmatic Play’s better slots when it comes to graphics and audio. Both images and audio were very bland. I felt as though the designer had just slapped the slot together to meet a deadline, with not much thought going into it at all.
