Wild Symbol

“W” Treasure Chests are the game's standard Wild symbol and will substitute for all regular symbols to help create winning combinations.

Cursed Treasure Feature

Standard Treasure Chests are good, but Cursed Chests are even better. These symbols also act as Wilds, but any time they land, they open to reveal a Multiplier of between 2x and 200x.

All reel positions above the Cursed Chest are then infused with an eerie glow and become a “Cursed Area”.

Winning lines containing a symbol within a Cursed Area are boosted by the Cursed Chest Multiplier. If a winning line passes through more than one Cursed Area, the Multiplier values are added together and then applied to the value of the winning line.

Scatter Symbol

Sunken Treasure Bonus Game

The reels descend to the ocean floor for this free spins game. You will begin with 10 free spins, which take place on the same set of reels as the base game, however, the Cursed Chests feature has been given a nice winnings-enhancing upgrade.

Whenever a Cursed Chest lands during the round, it opens to reveal a Multiplier and creates a Cursed Area as usual. However, any Cursed Chests and related Cursed Areas remain locked in place for the duration of the round.

The Multipliers, meanwhile, are added to a combined Multiplier tally above the reels. Any winning line that passes through any Cursed Area will benefit from this Multiplier tally, leading to potentially rapidly escalating wins.

Dead Men Tell No Tales Bonus Game

This “Hold and Win” style feature also takes place on a 5x4 grid, but features only Blanks, Cursed Skulls, Tormented Skulls, and Kraken Symbols. You begin with three spins and lose one spin each time a Skull or Kraken fails to land. However, any time at least one non-blank symbol hits, your tally will reset to three.

At the beginning of the round, a 1x Multiplier sits above each of the five reels. This value may then be increased by each of the three special symbols as follows:

• Cursed Skulls – Will add a Multiplier of between 1x and 500x to the total above the reel on which they land. Cursed Skulls also create a sticky Cursed Area extending from their position to the top of the relevant reel.
• Tormented Skulls – Will multiply the Multiplier above the reel on which they land by between 2x and 25x.
• Kraken – Will add a Multiplier value of between 1x and 500x to the totals above ALL reels.

The round continues until you run out of spins. The Multiplier value above each reel is then transferred to each Cursed Area position on that reel. Finally, the values of all Cursed Area Multipliers are combined and applied to your total stake. If you are to achieve the max win of 12,500x, this may be the round in which to do it!

Our Verdict: We love a loaded bonus round, and Cursed Seas duly delivers. The Free Spins Bonus was tons of fun, with 10 free spins being a decent amount to be given as a baseline. The wins in the Dead Men Tell No Tales bonus stack up surprisingly quickly, making for a lucrative bonus round should you trigger it.
