Inspired Gaming hasn’t changed any of the features for this new game in comparison to the original Reel Kings Megaways slot. Which makes sense as this game continues to be immensely popular. This means that the Cascades, Lit Reels, the Reel King Feature, and a round of free spins all remain for the festive version.

Every win triggers the first and most frequent feature, the Cascade feature. This feature removes the winning symbols of a winning spin and allows them to be replaced with new ones which cascade into the gaps. This can then lead to new wins being generated. The process repeats itself until a losing spin occurs. The cascades do not count as spins. Once the feature has ended, the next true spin will happen.

Lit Reels are the next feature and one that has been popular with gamers for a long time. In the base game, up to 6 reels can turn yellow on every spin. Cascaded also can turn a reel yellow.  If all reels turn yellow, play then moves to the Reel King Feature. If players manage to get another cascade win past that they activate the Super King Feature, while yet one more sends players to the Mega King feature.

If you are lucky to activate any of these features, a minimum of one Reel King, dressed as Santa will appear on the reels spinning his own one-line mini slot. If three coloured symbols land in this mini lot, they will award the player either 1x, 2x, 5x, or 10x the bet. Also, these symbols may appear with a yellow background, if three land, you then move to the Free Spins trail displayed across the top of the screen. The free spins trail and the number of Reel Kings active in the feature depending on which one was activated:

Reel King – 8 to 12 free spins + 1 to 2 Reel Kings.

Super King – 8 to 20 free spins + 2 to 3 Reel Kings.

Reel King – 8 to 25 free spins + 3 to 6 Reel Kings.

When a non-winning combination lands on the mini reel slot, with less than three lit reels, the respective level Reel King goes away. The feature as a whole terminates when all the Reels Kings are gone. If that happens, and players have won free spins from the trail, play moves to the next feature.

The next feature, namely Free Spins, do not start immediately, however. Before this, players are granted the chance to gamble with the amount that they have collected. If they gamble, a wheel appears and spins which can either decrease spins down to zero, or award more up to 25.  Pressing the ‘Take’ button or winning the 25 free spins starts the bonus.

When you reach the free spins round, a win multiplier is applied, starting on x1, while each cascade increases it by +1, with no limit. Here reels light up as well, this time they light up in red following each cascade from the far-left reel. If all 6 of the reels turn red, this awards the player with 1-3 free spins and increases the multiplier up to 3x.
