Bonus features for Gold Volcano are plentiful and include both base game modifiers and different games. The first feature that players should be aware of is the Cascading reels feature. If you burst a cluster of symbols, the feature then triggers, the lava pushes new symbols into the gaps left by the previous symbols.

The first extra is the Dormant Feature which is multi-layered. It is randomly triggered and can happen when you get a non-winning spin in the base game. One of three things will happen when the feature is triggered:

The Rumble feature will shuffle all symbols in the grid into new locations, with one symbol being swapped out for a scatter.

The Lava feature will spew a random symbol out that will then cascade onto the grid. The layout of the grid then changes to 4-5-6-7-7-4-5, giving players more chances to form clusters. The random symbol can be a wild symbol too.

The Excavate feature will add between 3 to 5 new wild symbols to the grid in random locations.

The next bonus is the Pressure feature. This is also triggered randomly when winning symbols are removed from the grid. The feature puts a wild in empty spaces before new symbols then arrive. Wilds can also randomly come with a 2x multiplier. If you are granted more than one of these wilds, then the multiplier values will be added together.

The Crystallisation feature is next and is triggered when players fill the scatter meter located on the screen’s left side.  The feature will upgrade to a different precious material for every three symbols collected, topping out at Gold. There are 3 of these levels, each of which needs three scatters to progress to the next stage.  The meter will reset after every normal spin in the base game.  The meter is not reset if the Eruption feature is triggered.

Finally, there is the Eruption feature. This momentous feature is triggered only if you manage to land six consecutive cascades with no further wins. The feature begins with five free spins.  These spins play out on an expanded grid that is now 8×8, because of the added symbols added to the grid as you have worked your way to this point. The feature can be retriggered if you get another six consecutive cascades; however, these subsequent retriggers will only reward one free spin instead of three.

The Crystallisation feature is also active during this feature, meaning that the scatter meter does not reset between spins. The pressure feature is additionally active, so multipliers can also be applied to your wins.
