This game has amp-le bonus features, taking the form of four Free Spins rounds and a Re-spins round triggered by the collection of Scatters.

Whether you enjoy the fun party theme or its Bonuses and features Amped has a lot to offer. The progressive gameplay and its four Bonus rounds with Expanding Wilds, Sticky Wilds, Synced Reels and Multiplier boosts give the slot lots of replayability and decent win potential. The only downside for us is that Relax Gaming made this a supporting act – improving the audiovisuals and the limited win potential would have made Amped a mainstage hero!

How To Play Amped Slot

Relax Gaming make setting up and playing the game easy with settings available in the menu which runs across the bottom of the screen.

Here you can set the wager per spin, as well as the win and loss limits using the appropriately named tools.

After these settings have been confirmed, players are free to spin the reels. Players can either spin manually or set up automatic spins.

Players have 30 available pay lines to find wins.

All wins are calculated from left to right, and creating them is as simple as matching three or more of the brightly coloured symbols on these paylines.

The betting range for this nightlife-inspired spin-fest is between 10p to £100 per spin.

The top-paying symbol pays you 15x its stake, for five-of-a-kind in the base game too, so keep an eye out for it!

The base game is relatively straight forward, but if you land three or more of the Scatter/ Wild symbols you'll be off to one of the Bonus rounds where big wins await!

Amped Slot Features

Amped comes with a variety of features which all stem from the collection of Scatters in the base game.

The game has four different types of Scatters in four distinct colours. Each one corresponds to a different free spins round.

In addition to these Scatters triggering the Bonus rounds, Scatters also function as Wild symbols.

This means they can also be substituted for regular symbols to help you land more winning combinations.

Wilds/Scatters are worth the same as the highest paying regular symbol and will pay out 15x your stake when five-of-a-kind land on any payline.

Re-spins Feature

The re-spins feature is triggered when any two of the Scatter types land on the reels in the same spin.

Bonuses and Free Spins

Four bonus rounds can be entered into at this point. For each of them, players are awarded seven free spins.

However, each round comes with a modifier depending on the colour of the Scatters you collect. These are summarised here:

Three or more Orange Scatters collected – Grants players seven free spins with Electro Expanding Wilds. These Wilds take up the whole reel, giving you more chances of wins.
Three or more Red Scatters collected- Grants players seven free spins with the BMP Boost Multiplier. Players with this bonus benefit from an increasing total Multiplier (after each win, the Multiplier increases by 1).
Three or more Green Scatters collected – Grants players seven free spins with the Big Bass Sticky Wilds. These Wilds become stuck in place when they land, making it easier to get big wins.
Three or more Blue Scatters – Grants players seven free spins with Remix Synced Reels. This feature means that a minimum of 2 reels will display the same symbols when they land. In addition, all the reels can be synced for bigger combo wins.

Although none of the Bonus rounds can be retriggered, one additional free spin will be rewarded for every Scatter you land during the feature.

Graphics and Theme

The retro primary coloured dance theme is executed with precision in this slot game and is a refreshing theme that is not often adopted by slot providers.

The background for the board gives the impression of multicoloured sound waves being emitted from the left and right of the screen.

Although visually simplistic, the game feels dynamic and uptempo, making it enjoyable to play.

Thanks to the bigger bass notes and volumes being reduced to more widely acceptable levels, this slot isn't the crazy rave it could have been, but that does make it more palatable to a wider audience.

Truthfully, we know that Relax Gaming can do much more work in the graphics and audio department; this feels more like a side project they had fun with in between their bigger works.

Thankfully the theme itself is a breath of fresh air, and combined with the interesting game mechanics, you've got a solid slot that's worth a few spins.
