For fans waiting for Deadmau5 to make his reels debut, this game does just about enough to deliver. We will admit to having been unfamiliar with the works of this modern-day Mozart. However, our sources tell us that Deadmau5 belongs to the progressive house/electro-house genre. For the uninitiated, that translates into a soundtrack featuring plodding drumbeats, in-and-out synth effects, and watery piano passages. The reel effects do little to intrude on the signature Deadmau5 sound, with the low-key electronic whirrs only interrupted by the arrival of wins and special features.

Our Verdict Straddling the divide between super-cool and ever so slightly cheesy, the developers have just about nailed the Euro Dance theme. The graphics scream the late 90s/early noughties, and the soundtrack has an undeniable hip-gyrating quality, which we weren’t expecting.
