BetMGM Launches in UK Under LeoVegas Partnership

Iconic US betting operator MGM Resorts have landed in the UK, announcing the launch of BetMGM UK as of August 2023. Partnering with the experienced gambling firm LeoVegas, they certainly have taken on the European market.

Acquisition of LeoVegas

MGM Resorts recently acquired the LeoVegas property, and have enjoyed large successes in the USA. They are the leading online casino operator with a 27% market share, and held its most profitable quarter to date.

They enter an established and competitive market, but MGM Resorts CEO and President Bill Hornbuckle suggested they are up for the challenge.

‘Today’s announcement represents a key step forward in our international growth strategy, which has been advancing rapidly since our acquisition of LeoVegas.’

Competing with brands such as 888 Holdings and Entain, MGM has become the latest of many operators to enter the European market. Their collaboration with LeoVegas was somewhat surprising, as BetMGM USA is a joint owned betting operator from MGM Resorts and Entain.

BetMGM Casino and Sportsbook Now Live

Their casino and sportsbook are already live, with the slick black and gold colouring on display. Utilising the same software used by LeoVegas, we’re sure that players will flock to the BetMGM fields immediately.
