Having achieved such a smash hit with Retro Tapes, it is no surprise to see Push Gaming return to the genre, and we found this to be a step up on its predecessor. Sweets may not be as inherently retro as cassette tapes, but the setting does a better job of setting the tone, and the gameplay is also more engaging. Cluster Pays always seem to work particularly well in Candy-themed slots, and the base game never becomes dull with all those Instant Prizes, Multipliers, and Collect Symbols whizzing around. We also enjoyed the distinctive Hold and Win/Clusterpays combination presented by the bonus round, which takes all the fun of the base game and turns it up to 11. Overall, this is a nostalgic trip well worth taking!
