Breaking Down New Jersey’s Biggest June Jackpots
New Jersey June Jackpots
New Jersey’s Division of Gaming (DOG) regularly publishes progressive slot jackpot wins at online and land-based casinos. We’ve transformed this daunting table of lucky winners into bite-sized information for NJ gamblers. We’ve broken down June’s lucky jackpot wins so you can see which casinos, slots, and software providers have a hand in the big wins. Armed with this knowledge, maybe you’ll be able to repeat them!
We’ve made the NJ DOG’s report easier to understand, but you can find the full report here.
So How Big Are These Jackpot Wins?
Absolutely massive! According to New Jersey’s Division of Gaming, 114 lucky players won almost $10.5 million in jackpots this June. To be included, they all had to win $50,000 or more. At the very least, that’s enough for each of these winners to have a few extravagant holidays!
The luckiest 30 players won over $100,000, and the biggest winner nabbed just shy of $350,000.
So what can we take away from this? Firstly, some people are luckier than us! Besides that, we found that about 70% of these $50k+ wins occurred at online casinos. This trend for more big wins at NJ’s online casinos is something we spotted back in May and is great news for those that love online jackpot slots.
Ultimately, our observations should be pure chance, and specific results are unlikely to repeat themselves. However, there is still a good chance some long-term patterns will emerge between varying RTPs by games and casinos. We hope this article will give you a better chance when chasing gigantic jackpots!
Which Casinos Paid Out the Most?
It’s no secret that Return to Player percentages differ between casinos and even change over time. Huge jackpots can also make up a considerable amount of a casino’s overall RTPs. As a result, knowing which casinos consistently give out the biggest jackpots is great for players who seek the thrill and potential win of massive progressive jackpots.
This June, there were 18 NJ casinos with jackpot winnings over $50k. Still, some had considerably more individual wins and higher totals than the rest. Given the dominance of online casinos with these jackpots, it's no surprise that our top-rated online casinos like BetMGM, DraftKings, Caesars, and Borgata are topping the tables!
The overall best casino for jackpot winners this month was hands-down Borgata casino. They had dished out over $2 million to 16 players - the most players of any casino this month. Borgata also paid out the highest individual win, at roughly $350,000.
Please see the table below for more details on how NJ casinos paid out their June jackpots.

Which Software Providers had the Best Jackpots?
The vast majority of jackpot wins came from slots, though a few other casino games managed to sneak in. We also noticed that certain games and specific providers appeared on the list, time and time again.
Many top slot providers like Scientific Games, NetEnt, and High5 Games had several jackpot winners across multiple games - dishing out serious jackpot rewards! Evolution Games was responsible for most of the live casino and table games on the jackpot list.
At first glance, the overall winner appeared to be Nyx Gaming, with nine different games. Nyx’s games were responsible for 15 individual wins and over $1.5 million in jackpot winnings. However, the naming conventions of the DOG’s publication separated IGT and International Gaming Tech despite being the same provider. Once you put these together, you get net jackpots just shy of $2 million. That surely makes them number one, right?
Not quite. Back in 2018, Nyx Gaming was bought by Scientific Games. After that, SG’s iGaming department rebranded to Light and Wonder in 2021. So our unlikely winner wasn’t even in the DOG’s publication! Light and Wonder paid out the most - around $2.35 million in jackpots. A total of 23 lucky winners won this combined total from SG and NYX.
Which are the Best Slots for Jackpots in June?
Several games, such as Mercy of the Gods, Riches of Midgard Land and Expand, Siberian Storm, Divine Fortune, and Cleopatra slot variants have been appearing regularly in other jackpot slots at casinos such as BetMGM and Borgata. Other big jackpot slot wins include games like Double Diamond, Lock It Link, Anubis Wild Megaways, and Spartacus.

You might get misled when reading the DOG’s original table. For example, NextGen, was an iGaming company that made one of this month’s most successful jackpot slots, Medusa Megaways. Nyx bought out NextGen in 1999. Since then, Nyx and Scientific Gaming merged to create SG Digital. Finally, SG’s iGaming department rebranded to Light and Wonder in 2021. Confusing right?
