Nitropolis 2 Slot Review
Are you ready to head back into the post-apocalyptic world of Nitropolis? Coming only five months after the release of the original games, ELK’s Nitropolis 2 is another dose of post-apocalyptic animal mayhem. However, this time, the game has seriously upped its ante, offering players a mind-boggling 191,102,967 ways to win.
The game is more than just some complicated maths and some cool gameplay mechanics, though.
Graphics and theme
Nitropolis 2 recaptures the gritty tone of the original slot perfectly. The backdrop to the slot is a bunch of high-rise buildings that look as though they were ripped straight from Blade Runner, while the character animations do a great job of bringing them to life once again. The music here is also fantastic, with a hypnotic beat accompanying every move you make.
Above the reels, we have a line of fuel pumps that display any bonus relevant to their reel and a digital counter that keeps track of the amount of winning ways possible at the time. Given the sheer number that is available, this is very useful to have.
The standard symbols are the poker card icons, and they payout between 0.15 and 0.40 times the original stake. The premium symbols are members of the three gangs surviving in the wasteland: Pug Thugs, Gritty Kitty and Dirty Dawgs. Wanted posters for each of these members are the mid-level symbols, while the most valuable is the Pest Sergeant symbol; matching six of him will pay triple the stake. The wild symbol is a no dog fouling sign and can substitute for any symbol except a bonus one.
Nitropolis 2 Slot How to Play
The set-up to Nitropolis 2 feels very basic. It starts off as a six-reel slot with just four rows. Thanks to some mechanics, though, this can change throughout. The game kicks things off with 4096 ways to win, but thanks to the numerous bonus features, this can increase to an insane 191,102,967, which is quite astonishing.
To get the game going, you will need to select your stake. The maximum bet you can place is £100, and the lowest is £0.20. To change stake, click the stack of coins button at the bottom of the reels. The slot also has an auto spin function that allows for between 10 and 100 auto spins.
The RTP of the slot is fairly low at 95%, and it is considered a medium-high volatility title. While this may put some off – the crazy number of ways to win will no doubt bring them back.
Nitropolis 2 on Mobile
ELK Studios has developed the slot using HTML5 technology, meaning it will work on many different mobile devices, including phones and tablets. The game is supported on both Android and iOS, along with both major mobile browsers. It will also run smoothly on any mobile casino applications it might be found on.
Nitropolis 2 Slot Bonus Round and Free Spins
The first bonus you are likely to encounter here is the respin feature. The way to earn this is by simply scoring a winning combination. This is a feature carried over from the original slot game.
Talking of returning features, the Nitro Reels gameplay mechanic also makes an appearance. These are duel reels that will replace two reels and can contain between four and twelve symbols boosting the overall number of potential wins.
You will also notice a feature reel that is sat on top of the slot. This can trigger one of seven different bonuses in the game. This includes things like Nitro Wild, which makes the Nitro Reel into a wild reel, a premium boost that will make all nitro reels full of premiums, a pay-both-ways bonus that will see the game payout both ways, and some other respin style bonuses.
Finally, there is also a free spins round triggered by landing three or more scatter symbols on your reels. As is normal, the amount of free spins is determined by how many scatter symbols you land – three symbols for ten free spins, four for 15, five for 20 and six for 25. Nitro Reels remain for the entire free spin run.
