Yellow “W” icons may appear on reels two to six and substitute for all standard symbols to help create winning combos.

Cascading Wins

Any time a win is triggered, all symbols involved - and any horizontally or vertically adjacent stone blocks - will explode, with all empty spots filled by new standard paying symbols. This process repeats for every winning combination.

Multiplier Ladder

The Multiplier Ladder sits above the reels and initially ranges from x1 to x5. Each new spin sees the multiplier begin at x1, but this will increase by 1 for every win within a cascade sequence – leading to potentially rapidly escalating wins even in the base game. Whenever you remove all Stone Blocks during a Cascade Sequence, the Multiplier Ladder values are doubled. The Multiplier Ladder resets to its base x1-x5 values for each new spin.

Special Exploding Block Symbols

Whilst most Stone Block Symbols are empty, the base game also contains two types of Special Block Symbols:

• Multiplier Booster: Whenever these Green Flower Blocks explode, they will add +1, +2, or +3 to all values in the Multiplier Ladder.
• Spin Saver: When triggered, this symbol grants you an extra chance at the end of the current cascade sequence. If the Cascade produces no win, the Spin Saver will remove ALL symbols from the reels, to be replaced by new symbols.

Free Spins Bonus

Keep your eyes peeled for the Gold Bonus Gong Scatters. Land three or more of these on the same spin, and your Asian-inspired battle will move into the Free Spins Bonus Three Gongs award eight free spins, with an extra spin granted for each additional Gong in view.

Having triggered the Free Spins Bonus, you must then select which bonus round path to walk, with three options available:

Free Spins Gamble

Once the bonus round has ended, you will move to an optional gamble screen, which gives you an opportunity to extend the round - with all of the existing multipliers remaining in play. Select the 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% chance option, and decide if you wish to pay the price of the gamble displayed at the base of the screen. The gamble feature is not available if the multiplier value has reached x100 – but if that’s the case, you will more than likely have already achieved a spectacular win.

Our Verdict: The Torii Tumble base game is exciting in its own right, and things become much more intense in the bonus round, with those boosted multipliers really enhancing the sense of anticipation. We also enjoyed the three alternative modes, which add a welcome element of interactivity and variety to the feature.
