Overall, Reactoonz was a fun slot to play through and we enjoyed testing it out. The Giant symbols are a nice feature, and the Charge Meter effects help keep the gameplay fresh with their unpredictability. The bonus features let the slot down, however. We were disappointed not to have anything in the way of free spins, and the Gargantoon feature was too hard to trigger to be satisfying. Although you’re likely to find more lucrative slots out there, Reactoonz is definitely still worth a few spins of your time!

Reactoonz Slot Features

Cascading Reels

The slot uses a cascading reels mechanic, meaning that symbols which form winning combinations drop from the screen to be replaced with brand new symbols from above. This will continue until no more winning combinations are formed. This increases your chance of landing big chain reaction wins!

Wild Symbols

The Energy Ball forms the game’s Wild symbol, substituting for regular symbols to help form winning combinations.

Giantoonz

When four symbols cluster together in a 2x2 shape, they will fuse together to form one giant symbol called a Giantoon. Wins are doubled if the winning combination involves a Giantoon.

Quantum Leap

Every winning combination during a spin contributes to filling the Quantum Leap Charge Meters, which you’ll find in the top right corner of the reels. When one meter is fully charged, it will trigger one of the following effects:

Implosion: Changes three to six symbols into Wild symbols, destroying all adjacent symbols in the process
Incision: Puts a Wild symbol into the center of the reels, creating two overlapping diagonal lines through the grid. Both lines will show the same random symbol.
Demolition: Destroys every one-eyed symbol and all matching symbols
Alteration: Chooses a one-eyed symbol at random, with all matching symbols turning into another symbol. If there are no one-eyed symbols on the grid, the feature can choose any available symbol

Instability

The Garantoon waiting to the right of the reels has a role to play in the base game. The Instability feature will see it place four to eight Wild symbols onto the grid at a random time.

Gargantoon

If you’re able to charge five Quantum Leap Charge Meters, you'll unleash the Gargantoon!

The big bad blob will appear on the reels as a 3x3 Wild symbol, substituting for regular symbols to help form winning combinations.

The Gargantoon will also divide and move with each cascade, first becoming a 2x2 Wild symbol before splitting into nine individual Wild symbols.

Our Verdict: While the Gargantoon feature is a lot of fun and really helps the win stack up, we found it incredibly difficult to trigger the feature in the first place. There are quite a few hurdles to jump through before you can free the Gargantoon, and your progress resets after every unsuccessful spin. It also would have been nice to have some other bonus features to play with.
