Smokey has worn a lot of costumes in Hacksaw's Le series. This time it is a green top hat and a ginger beard that is very obviously stuck on.

Under the costume sits a 6x5 cluster game, and on its own that part is forgettable. You need five matching symbols touching. When they win, they drop out along with every other copy of that symbol on the grid, new ones fall in, and most of those wins are small. What makes Le Prechaun worth a look is what the wins leave behind.

Every winning cluster turns its squares gold. Nothing happens to them until a Rainbow shows up, and then each gold square flips into a coin, a clover, a bag or a pot. Coins go up to 500x. Wilds run their own side game: a Wild that wins stamps a x2 on its square, and that number keeps doubling while Wilds keep winning there, up to x100.

On paper this looks like another Le reskin with a new hat. It is better than that, and the reason is the Wilds. A win leaves a multiplier behind, the multiplier doubles as a gold square, and a Rainbow can drop a coin straight onto it. Once that clicks, there is a lot more going on here than in a normal cluster slot.

The base game is still slow. Small clusters pay next to nothing, so expect plenty of spins between Rainbows. A 15,000x top prize and a 3 out of 5 volatility rating put it in the middle of the road.

A win is 5 or more of the same symbol touching sideways or up and down.
After a win, the cluster disappears and so does every other copy of that symbol on the grid. This is known as a Super Cascade. New symbols fall in, and if they make another win, it goes again.

Le Prechaun Slot Paytable & Symbols

Every value is in the paytable table on this page. The short version: the 10 to A cards top out at 50x for a cluster of 14 or more, dice and horseshoes at 75x, boots and beer mugs at 100x, and the hat at 200x.

Look at where the jumps are. A card cluster goes from 0.6x at 9 symbols to 2x at 10, then 10x at 12. A cluster of 5 never pays more than your bet, even with the hat, so the small wins are mostly there to leave gold squares behind.

Think of the gold squares as IOUs. A win leaves them behind, they sit there doing nothing, and a Rainbow cashes them in.

What comes out is a mix. Coins are the actual money: bronze pays 0.2x to 4x, silver 5x to 10x, gold 20x to 50x and diamond 100x to 500x. A green clover boosts the coins next to it, a gold clover boosts every coin on the grid. A bag of gold scoops up whatever is around it, and a pot of gold scoops up the lot. Then there is the Epic Rainbow, which ignores the gold squares altogether and flips every position on the grid.

Position Multipliers

This is the part we like most. When a Wild is part of a win, its square gets a x2, and every later win that touches that square is multiplied. If another Wild wins there, x2 becomes x4, then x8, and so on up to x100. Marked squares count as gold squares too, so a Rainbow can put a coin right on top of a multiplier.

A quick example. A square has had two Wild wins, so it is sitting at x4. The Rainbow turns it into a silver coin worth 5x, and that one square pays 20x. For comparison, a cluster of five 10s pays 0.2x.

Arc Adventure (3 FS)

All three bonus rounds start with 10 free spins. In this one, gold squares wait on the grid until a Rainbow arrives and the multipliers stay put for the whole round. There is also a Lucky Charm Bar over the reels. Every fifth FS symbol you collect moves it up a level and adds 5 spins. Level 1 drops in 2 multipliers, level 2 adds 3 more, and from level 3 you get a Rainbow on every spin.

Clover The Top (4 FS)

Same round, one change: gold squares stay lit after a Rainbow has cashed them in.
