King Kong Cash Slot

Kong sleeps on a throne to the left of the reels. On any spin he can wake up and trigger one of five Sleepy Kong modifiers.

Banana Cannon Wilds

Kong fires a sticky banana bomb at the centre of the grid, and the blast turns the positions around it Wild.

Kong Respin

After a Banana Cannon win, Kong can smash the ground and respin the reels with the Wilds held in place.

Golden Barrel Super Spin

A Golden Barrel explodes over the reels and scatters more barrels across them. When the reels stop, every golden barrel opens to show the same symbol.

King Kong Spin Streak

After a winning spin, Kong hammers the reels with a mallet. The winning symbols stay put and the other positions respin, over and over, until the win stops improving.

Bonus Boost

The same explosion as the Golden Barrel Super Spin, except it adds bonus symbols. On that spin the King Kong Bonus becomes much more likely.

Our Verdict Take the modifiers away and you are left with a plain 20-line game. Blueprint does not say how often Kong wakes up, so we have no figure to give you.

The King Kong Bonus wheel

Land three or more Kong bonus symbols and the wheel spins. It stops on Barrel Blast, King Kong Trail, Empire Free Spins, Golden Kong Free Spins or BIG MONKEY. Blueprint's rules state that the segments are not equally likely, so the size of a slice on screen tells you nothing about your chances.

Barrel Blast

You open barrels to reveal items. Three of the same item pays a multiple of your total bet, and a special icon raises the multipliers on the win plan. Find three Golden Monkeys and you skip ahead to the BIG MONKEY Bonus.

King Kong Trail

This one looks like an old platform game. Kong climbs a multiplier trail, and each barrel you pick either moves him up 1 to 5 steps, sends him straight to the BIG MONKEY Bonus with a Golden Monkey, or ends the round with a bomb. A bomb still pays the multiplier you had reached.

Empire Free Spins

Kong starts at the bottom of the Empire State Building. Golden Monkeys appear on symbols during the spins, and collecting enough of them lifts you to the next level. Each new level adds 5 free spins and a stronger Wild:

• Level 1: Roaming Wilds. Any Wild that lands stays for the rest of the level and jumps to a new position every spin.
• Level 2: the same Roaming Wilds, plus a win multiplier when two of them land on one position.
• Level 3: two Wilds meeting on one position become a Wild that covers the whole reel.

Golden Kong Free Spins

The grid grows to 5x4 with 40 paylines for a fixed number of spins. Special Wilds that land go into a bank on the right of the screen. When the spins run out, the banked Wilds are dropped at random onto the reels for a series of Wild Spins. After each one you pick one of three barrels. A Golden Monkey spins again with the Wilds reshuffled. A bomb ends the round, which cannot retrigger itself.

BIG MONKEY Bonus

A carousel of barrels spins around Kong and stops on a multiple of your total bet. Then you pick a banana. A Golden Monkey spins the barrels again and adds to the win, and a bomb ends the feature. The maximum is 1,000x your total bet.

Feature Gamble

Once the wheel awards a feature, you can collect it or gamble for a better one. The five features sit on a ladder ranked by average payout. Each winning gamble moves you up and removes everything below. If the gamble wheel stops on Mystery Win, you get a cash prize of 5x to 30x your bet and the feature is gone. The rules exclude the BIG MONKEY Bonus from the gamble and warn that the odds shown on screen are not necessarily the real odds.

Our Verdict With five features on one wheel, the bonus changes from one trigger to the next. Since the game does not show true gamble odds, we would take Golden Kong or Empire Free Spins when they come up.
