Having already hit the mark with Cats of the Caribbean and Cat Clans, Snowborn Games are no strangers to cute animal-themed slots. The Scandinavian developers continue that trend – but switch out the cats for pigs – in this porky homage to a certain UK smash hit TV series.

Set in a dark and gloomy street, complete with smoking chimney stacks, Tommy Guns, and a slight air of underworld, flat-capped menace, Peaky Pigs does an excellent job of replicating the atmosphere of Peaky Blinders.

The tribute continues with the background music, which – whilst not quite Red Right Hand – certainly bears a passing resemblance to the Nick Cave classic, which provides the theme tune to the series.

This is, however, very much a tongue in (pork) cheek pastiche, as any threat is firmly of the cartoon variety. The developers certainly had fun naming the characters of the game, with the all-star cast consisting of Billy Bacon, Sam the Ham, Ricky Ribs, and (our personal favorite) Tommy Hilpigger.

Pigs and Peaky Blinders may not seem like the most obvious combination for an online slot, but Snowborn Games are experts at animal-based slot antics and have come through again. Mixing a healthy nod to the source material with a comedic slant, the theme is certainly fun.

The game’s high volatility is a little at odds with the cartoonish characters, but this is gangland after all – perhaps we shouldn’t expect too smooth of a ride. The Multiplier Wilds keep things interesting, whilst the two bonus rounds help to ensure that a decent win never feels too far away.

It is a little disappointing that the max win in the Piggy Pots Bonus round is set at 5000x, whereas the almost identical feature in Cat Clans offers 10,0000x, but all in all, this is a pretty pork-tastic slots experience.

How To Play Peaky Pigs Slot

Peaky Pigs takes place on a standard 5 x 3 layout with a total of 20 paylines. Wins are recorded by scoring three or more matching symbols, moving from left to right.

Symbols

Lower-paying symbols consist of thematic Knuckle Dusters, Razor Blades, Boxing Gloves, Broken Bottles, Horseshoes, and Jugs of Beer – all of which pay between 1.25x and 5x your stake for five in a row.

The four gangland piggies then make up the high-paying symbols, rewarding you with 10x – 12.5x your stake for five on a payline.

The game’s Wild Symbol is a “W” overlaid onto a bunch of dynamite. Wild symbols substitute for any standard symbol to create a winning line. These aren’t just any old Wilds, either. Whenever a Wild appears in view, it will explode to become a Multiplier Wild of between 1x and 5x.

Should more than one Wild land on the same pay line, the values will multiply together, creating a potential winnings boost of up to 3125x.
