West Virginia Hacksaw Gaming Update
West Virginia's iGaming sector has grown at double the rate of any other in the country in recent months. This has persuaded Hacksaw Gaming, a popular slots developer in the UK and across Europe, to make its American debut in the state.
The company is relocating to the United States after obtaining a temporary license in West Virginia. It means West Virginia residents will soon have access to the company's impressive catalog of 120+ slot games. Now, West Virginia has recently authorized supplier Hacksaw Gaming a temporary operating permit.
Who are Hacksaw Gaming?
Hacksaw Gaming, which is currently headquartered in Malta, is a provider of premium online games; Hacksaw was only established in 2018 but is already making waves within the industry; with the goal of disrupting the iGaming industry with cutting-edge, user-driven technology.
Hacksaw Games, a creative mobile-first game company, has seen significant success since its start in 2018. Its games include the cult classic Chaos Crew, Wild West shooter Wanted Dead or a Wild, and most recently released grim thriller R.I.P. City.
Hacksaw Games is well-known for creating high-volatility slots that often employ the cluster payouts concept. In addition, the company boasts that its slots have some of the highest win possibilities, which is impossible to dispute. Another typical feature of the company's slot is a Purchase Bonus function, which allows you to purchase primary bonuses for a higher spin bet.
Hacksaw Gaming & North America
Hacksaw’s games are offered in more than 20 licensed markets throughout the world, including the UKGC, MGA, Italy, Germany, Ontario, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Romania, and most recently, West Virginia, thanks to a temporary deal with Light & Wonder. In addition, they recently strengthened their footprint in Europe by signing a contract with StarCasino that makes the studio's library of games accessible to players in Italy.
CEO of Hacksaw, Marcus Cordes, stated that he believed the move was the beginning of a substantial expansion into the US and that it aimed to go live in the state through its relationship with Light & Wonder at the beginning of the year.
After receiving an Ontario operating permit in May 2022, Hacksaw started to expand into the North American market. In addition, Hacksaw recently declared that it had entered the Québec market by partnering with Loto-Québec. The district-administered lottery and online casinos in the area are managed and developed under the Hacksaw brand.
Hacksaw Gaming & West Virginia
In October, the number of West Virginia's licensed operators increased by 60% over 2021, demonstrating the growth of gambling in the US state.
"We have an exciting strategy for the US and our team is focused on delivering yet more excellent and memorable products to delight that market." said Christine Bordeaux, Hacksaw's SVP of Compliance North America.
Hacksaw Gaming has a strong reputation for producing memorable games and is well-known in several important iGaming markets. For these reasons, many of West Virginia's prominent online casinos would likely offer the firm's casino game catalog. In addition, expect Light & Wonder to swiftly form content partnerships with FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, and BetRivers.
Cordes said: "This latest expansion comes after our licence approvals in Romania and the Isle of Man earlier in 2022, so we're finishing the year just as strongly as we started it. Being granted this licence is testimony to the quality of our games portfolio and shows just how robust and engaging our content is."
It is only the start of Hacksaw Gaming’s journey in the states; we can’t wait to see where they go next!
